Pipe policies
Terms of Service
Effective September 1, 2026. These terms set the ground rules for using Pipe. They are designed to protect adult connection, consent, privacy and the integrity of the community.
Effective and last updated: September 1, 2026
1. Agreement and eligibility
By creating an account or using Pipe, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Dating Safety Policy. You must be at least 18, legally able to enter a contract and permitted to use dating services where you live. Pipe is available internationally, but features may vary where law, store rules, provider availability or safety operations require it.
2. Your account
Provide accurate information, maintain one authentic personal account, keep credentials secure and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise. You may use Apple, Google or email authentication and may link supported methods to reduce lockout risk.
3. Profiles and adult-only content
Your profile must represent you. Do not impersonate another person, misstate your age or relationship status, use deceptive or materially outdated media, or publish contact, financial or precise-location information that creates avoidable risk. Profile media must depict adults and may not include minors. Do not publish identifying information about minors.
4. Conduct
You may not use Pipe to:
- threaten, harass, stalk, shame, discriminate against or exploit another person;
- share non-consensual intimate material or solicit sexual content from a minor;
- commit fraud, extortion, trafficking, commercial solicitation or financial manipulation;
- scrape profiles, automate interactions, evade blocks or enforcement, or reverse engineer protected systems;
- publish illegal content, malware, another person's private information or content you lack rights to use;
- misuse reporting, verification or safety systems.
5. Matching and member safety
Pipe offers introductions, compatibility tools and communication features; it does not guarantee a match, relationship, identity, intentions, conduct or safety. Verification badges describe only the specific check completed. Use your judgment, keep early communication in the app, protect financial and personal information, meet in public and use blocking or reporting whenever needed.
6. Date planning and Safe Date
Date suggestions, availability overlap, venue proposals, reminders and Safe Date are optional coordination tools. Pipe does not verify a venue, monitor an in-person meeting, follow either person's live location, dispatch help, contact emergency services or guarantee that a check-in will prevent harm. Confirm plans directly, meet in public, control your own transportation and contact local emergency services if you may be in immediate danger.
Your private Safe Date plan is not shared with your match. When you deliberately use your device's share options, the information you select is sent to the person or service you choose and is then governed by that recipient's and service's practices.
7. Your content and our license
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Pipe a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, process, adapt for device display, moderate and show that content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the service. This license ends when the content is deleted, subject to reasonable technical completion, safety evidence, legal obligations and backup rotation.
Do not submit content unless you have the necessary rights and permissions. Pipe may remove, restrict or preserve content when required for policy enforcement, reports, appeals or law.
8. Paid features
If Pipe offers paid features, the price, billing period and renewal terms will be displayed before purchase. Mobile purchases are processed by Apple or Google and are also subject to the applicable store terms. Core safety controls—including blocking, reporting, pause and account deletion—will not require payment. Cancellation stops future renewal but does not ordinarily refund elapsed access unless law or store policy requires it.
9. Enforcement and appeals
Pipe may warn, limit visibility, hold content for review, suspend or terminate accounts when we reasonably believe these Terms, safety rules or law have been violated. We consider severity, context, credible evidence, recurrence and immediate risk. When appropriate, we provide the affected member with a reason category and a way to appeal. We may act without advance notice when needed to protect people, evidence or the service.
10. Service changes and termination
You may stop using Pipe, pause visibility or request account deletion at any time. We may change or discontinue features, but will provide appropriate notice where a change materially affects paid access or legal rights. Provisions that by their nature should survive—such as ownership, safety evidence, disclaimers and dispute obligations—remain effective after termination.
11. Disclaimers and liability
Pipe is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, particular matches or member conduct. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Pipe is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded where you live.
12. Disputes, changes and contact
Contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern informally. Mandatory consumer protections and any rights to bring a claim in your local courts remain unaffected. We may update these Terms with reasonable notice for material changes; continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms where permitted by law.
